Week 5 Results

Well, this week I didn't follow the eating so closely, but I did have total control over everything I ate.  We all know this was a hard week with  2 wedding receptions, a wedding luncheon, and a shower.  I also had a big Father's Day dinner at the Essig's with a big dessert.  The temptations were there, but I was determined in my mind to be in control of everything that went in my mouth.  It was not so bad. I did it much easier than I thought I would.
Here are my week 5 results:
I lost 1.4 pds, 1/2 in from waist, 1/2 inch from hips, and .5% body fat.  My goal for losing 3 pounds didn't happen, but I also only exercised 1 day last week.  It was my own fault.  But it goes to show, if you make smart choices with what you eat and how much you eat, you can still lose weight.  (Well, that's probably because I have weight to lose!)
This week we leave for Canada.  I've seen the food menu, and it is not going to be good! (well, it will be good, just FULL of calories!)  The possibility of gaining weight is pretty realistic.  So to help me, I'm going to ask Lance if I can have a little reward if I don't gain any weight.  I think this will give me the incentive to be cautious about what I eat. I sure hope I can do it.
Good luck to everyone on week 6!

Me too!

I had a pretty good results week too.  I lost 1.5 pds, another inch from my waist, 1/2 an inch from my hips, and .5% body fat. That was with virtually no exercise. I only got 1 day of cardio in last week.  So my goal for this week is a 3 pound loss. I plan on turning the exercise on pretty good. I really think I can do it or at least come close.

Finally Results

Yes!! So excited. I finally had another good week. I lost 1 1/2 pounds! I went from 125.4 to 123.8. I even had cake and ice cream for Mom's birthday! See, you can splurge once in awhile. And just to let everyone in on the smoothie for this week...it's pretty much like eating ice cream for breakfast! If you use frozen strawberries and frozen bananas, it is so creamy! And use grapenuts! They taste so good inside the smoothie. Always use vanilla extract or sweetner. I think it helps so much. Week 5 people! We've come so far. Let's go to week 12! We can do this!

Heidi's Week 3 Results

Well, I was happy with this weeks results. I lost 1.3 pds, an inch from my waist and 1/2 an inch from my hips. I'm hoping this will be roughly my weekly results from here on out.  My goals is to be about 4 pds lighter or 3 inches less in my waist  by my birthday.  I think that's pretty realistic.
I'm super excited about the food this week.  I hope it's as good as it sounds.
Lance had a good week as well.  I don't know his exact numbers, but I know he lost at least a pound and probably an inch in his waist.
I have to admit, this past week was full of temptations as I felt like there were treats everywhere I looked!  Though I didn't do amazing, I felt like I had more control than I normally would have, which still resulted in a weight loss.  That has been the greatest part of this program is learning self control and portion control. It was also interesting to note how good I DIDN'T feel when I over did it on treats and thought, "That was not worth it!"  It gave me more control for the next time.  I've decided though, if I am absolutely craving a treat, just make an island smoothie.  That drink is DELICIOUS!!!
Have a great 4th Week!

Week 2 Results

So this week I lost .2 pounds and no inches. I'm okay with that because of my sickness last week. All I know is I did my best with everything so it will pay off. I just want to comment about the island smoothie for meal 3 this week. If you don't like it, then you're doing it wrong because it is soooo good! It tastes just as good as a slurpee or a smoothie from a smoothie place! I use it with frozen strawberries. I use orange strawberry banana crystal light (kroger brand). And I put in about a capful of vanilla extract and coconut extract. (Plus all the other ingredients. Anyway, it's like a treat, seriously! This is so fun to figure out all these yummy foods that are actually healthy! I know some of them aren't so yummy but we can always switch out for what we like.

I love this program still. I'm still going at it with my best effort (treating myself once in awhile). I love it!

This Day

This day, I can finally say, I fit into my Angels jeans!! They are exactly like the ones Amy and Ashley have. I have been waiting for almost 6 months to wear these. They were just too tight. Now they fit perfect! KA is paying off! Also I just wanted to mention that if you need a motivational song to put on your ipod then download, "This Day" from itunes sung by Jenny Jordan Frogley. I found this song and loved it!

I feel so good!

I agree with what Stacy said about Kimball's comment.  I was laughing so hard.  I loved it! Also, I love all your motivational speeches Stace and Heids.  You keep me going!  I know I wouldn't be doing this so diligently if you guys weren't doing it too :)

I never reported on week one because my ipad won't let me post and I rarely get Darren's computer but I did lose one pound and I forgot to measure myself so I don't know my other measurements. I do know it has made a difference already.  I feel so good!!  That's what I have loved about this most of all!

Great job everyone!

*By the way, I don't mind the fiesta fish dish.  I've tried it with tuna and chicken and I definitely think the chicken is better.  I also leave out the salsa and onions and I love the couscous in it.
